Many thanks to Lara Shannon of Eco Chick PR, who I am lucky enough to call a friend AND who happens to be the publicity manager for Xanadu The Musical.
Myself and Rosetta Musial attended the star studded opening night down at the Grand Xanadu Marquis which is located at Melbourne's Docklands.
Once all the guests gathered into the marquis theatre, Olivia Newton-John MC'd the night before the show kicked off. The main star of the show Christie Whelan certainly stood out as a huge talent that will surely be going places in the world of performing arts.
Many celebrities from all areas of fame wondered about the pre and post show party, mingling and having a great night.
If you were a fan of the 1980's movie 'Xanadu' starring Olivia Newton-John, then definitely go see this musical. If like me, you are (in my case 'were') clueless to what the Xanadu phenomenon is all about, then go see it if if you enjoy light hearted, family-friendly, quirkiness.
In the finale scene, us "VIP's" were fortunate enough to be graced by Olivia Newton-John again when she jumped back on stage and joined in with Christie Whelan to sing 'Xanadu'- that was pretty awesome!
